Coachouse was inspired by

Henry Hirsch

Henry Hirsch wrote, produced and recorded with Lenny Kravitz, Micheal Jackson, Mick Jagger, Vanessa Paradis and Madonna. The music Henry produced sold over 55 million records. His body of work and success inspired Edouard Ratiarson, owner of Coachouse, to study the concepts and techniques Henry applied to his analog recording equipment to achieve the timeless sounds heard on Kravitz’ Let Love Rule.

Henry HIRSCH is an authority on the recording techniques used by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Led ZeppElin, David Bowie, Elton John and everything from the late 1960’s and 70’s.

Henry inspired Coachouse with his track record and equipment choices. This inspiration led Coachouse into buying a Universal Audio recording console from United Western Recorders, as well as 3M and Ampex tape machines, a collection of superior tube, ribbon and dynamic microphones, Helios channel strips and rare outboard gear, based on Henry’s recommendations.

While Edouard was studying under Henry at Waterfront Studios in Hudson New York, he discovered, and eventually purchased, Henry’s ATC SCM 200 speakers and Ampex MM1000 16-track tape recorder.
