we Did nothing by nefe

This song started as a simple vocal and acoustic song. We ended up tracking at 6 acoustic guitar tracks with reverbs printed in during the take. We then added bass, 2 violin tracks, analog synth, vocals going though the EMT 140 tube plate reverb and a drum solo at the end of the song. The mix song is 100% analog. Going from the Ampex MM1000 through the UA board to the 2-track 3M M79 1/2 inch tape before being digitized and mastered.

We tracked the following tracks to the Ampex MM1000. Drums, Bass, Guitars, Mellotron, Bechstein Concert Grand Piano and Vocal layers. Some minor editing was done in the computer at 24bit 192khz, and the mix was out of the box through the UA, the flown to the 2-track tape before being digitized and mastered.
